When January 24th rolls around in 2010, I will be 18 and hopefully that means I will become part of the main grid, leaving Teen Second Life behind. So while I’ve been thinking of things to blog about, I also wondered how I can spend my last year on the teen grid.
I’ve decided I will develop different skills, hopefully to find something I’m good at and can build and learn upon. My hope is that by trying everything, I will have good skills to work with by the time I hit the Main Grid, and therefore be able to jump right in to the new world, full-force.
So now I’ll list off the skills I want to learn, and any notes I can think of to say about them. These may change, and I may add or take away from the list, but for now these are the things I want to accomplish:
- Creating Prim Hair-I want to texture and sculpt my own hair, maybe mess around with flexi-prims.
- Create Jewelry-A bracelet, and/or a pair of earrings.
- Create an Animation Override-Including walking, sitting, running, flying, etc.
- Create clothes-A shirt at the minimum. Maybe bottoms and shoes to match.
- Create a scripted object-I really want to make a hover-board.
- Build a room-Perhaps a mini-house and furniture.
Those are my building-based goals. In addition, I’d like to (but may not accomplish):
- Getting a Premium Account
- Making a store
- Making a machinima video
- Learn the best places to hang out-And make plenty of friends and get over my shyness.
So these will be my goals. I’m not sure how or when or in what order I will accomplish them, but my hope is that I will be able to nonetheless.
I hope that you will continue to read my blog, and I will post whenever I can about my adventures and the things and places I discover while on Teen Second Life.
